Two Amazing Announcements for tonight:
BAC's very own Elite Team Coach GM Cristian Chirila has won the under 2550 Championship at Millionaire Chess!!
He defeated IM Akshant Chandra 2-0 in the semi-finals and then defeated GM Oliver Barbosa 1.5-.5 in the final to take down the $12,000 prize!!
Congratulations for a hard fought and very well deserved victory!!
BAC is excited to announce we will be hosting a special lecture and USCF rated blitz tournament on Friday October 14th at our San Jose BAC office
with Honorary Coach, European Blitz Champion GM Rauf Mamedov!
Prize fund is $800 b/50 with 50% guaranteed - but I am 100% confident we'll have a full house!!!
The event starts at 6pm with GM Rauf giving a lecture to the interested players.
Around 7:30pm we will begin a 5 round USCF rated blitz event with 2 sections; 1700+ and under 1700. Players must have a minimum rating of 1000.
