The next few weeks and months will be very busy for our tournament players, and wanted to take the time to guide you through the major tournaments that are coming up.
1) In Memory of IM Emory Tate Championship - November 13/14-15 @ BayAreaChess Center
It's been almost a month since the sudden and shocking passing of IM Emory Tate at our last Championship. We have immediately started the process with USCF of re-naming our upcoming tournament to dedicate it to him.
This coming weekend we're having the In Memory of IM Emory Tate Championship at our BayAreaChess Office, as part of the usual recurring BAC Named Championship series.
As you probably know, this location has limited space, and it is very popular, so please, REGISTER TODAY, if you would like to secure your space, and avoid late fee.
Late fee will be turned on today (11/11) afternoon, and registration will be closed at 80 players.

2) CA Class Warfare Championship - November 27/28-29 @ Santa Clara Convention Center
The usual tournament over Thanksgiving Weekend will be held at the Santa Clara Convention Center this year with a $14,000 prize fund and 70% guaranteed payout!
Players can choose from 3-day starting on Friday or 2-day schedule starting on Saturday. Don't miss your chance to win some $$$ over this holidays.
Space is limited and the deadline to get discounted guest rooms is approaching fast, so register soon to avoid any headache!

3) CalChess Grade Level Championship - December 5-6 @ Santa Clara Convention Center
The Annual CalChess Grade Level Championship will be held also at the Santa Clara Convention Center and expected to be a fun and exciting event for all grades, including our older and more advanced players!
Looking forward having many middle and high-school students and teams to compete!
Hoping to break a record in attendance, the organizers are preparing with some exciting upgrades in how to get results and pairings as well, as providing excellent conditions for our players.
