2 important tournament coming up: Thanksgiving weekend Nov 25/26-27 & 2016 Grade Level State Champ 12/3-4
Published: Tue, 11/22/16
Dear Players and Parents, There are two important tournaments coming up, and instead of sending two separate emails, I have merged them into one. If you have graduated from high school already, only pay attention to the first one: the 2016 California Warfare Class Championship (aka Thanksgiving tournament) that is coming up this weekend at San Jose Convention Center. We are excited to host this heritage event over November 25/26-27. If you are still in high school, then both of the tournaments are for you: the Thanksgiving tournament is a great place to practice, win some $ and be together with other fellow chess player. The following weekend, Dec 3-4 is the 2016 CalChess Grade Level State Championship, which will be held in the Alameda County Fairground in Pleasanton. For most of you, begin in Grade 4 or higher, it'll be a two-day tournament, 3-rounds on Saturday and 3-rounds on Sunday. Winner of the section is the STATE CHAMPION that looks really good at the college applications ;) Please scroll down to read the details for that one. Thank you for taking the time to read these information. Should you have any questions, our inbox is always open: ask@bayareachess.com or call us at 408-409-6596. Many thanks, Judit |
