Apologies from all the adults in this email list for extra email -- need to reach the high rated kids in this email list:
Last day to register for the Susan Polgar Foundation National Open for Boys and Girls!
Late fee will be turned on later tonight. 300+ players already signed up, so you don't want to miss this for sure!
If you need help with accommodation - Biltmore has extended the group rate, email me if you need help!
There are two different schedules:
- All championship sections are 2-day events, with 3 rounds on both Saturday and Sunday. Anyone above 800 USCF rating have to play here!
Winner of the top section wins FULL SCHOLARSHIP to WEBSTER!!!
Also, the winners of the Girls' sections are getting special invitation to the Girls Invitational in June!
Registration is not through BAC's website, but through www.spfno.com exclusively!

Championship sections - 2day tournament on Saturday and Sunday
10 Sections are based on AGE:
Under Age8, Under Age10, Under Age12
Under Age 14 or Under Age16/18
How to determine? How old was the player on Jan 1st 2019?
That's the section every player should go.
Example:
Player has a 12/1/10 birthday --> player was 8 years old on 1/1/19 --> player belong to the Under10 section.
Player has a 1/2/11 birthday --> players was 7 years old on 1/1/19 --> player belongs to the Under8 section.
April 2019 Supplemental and TD discretion used when determining ratings.
Trophies to:
Top 15 players in each sections
Winning record required for trophy - medals to all others.
Top 3 School Team Trophies in each sections
Top 3 Club Team Trophies in each sections
Time Control & Round Times
Time Control: 6 rounds G/60;d5
Rounds: Saturday 9:30am, 12:30am, 3:30pm
Sunday 9:30am, 12pm, 2:30pm
