Dear players, parents, coaches and the entire BayAreaChess community,
It's with heavy heart that I'm announcing my leave from BayAreaChess. My last day will be Sunday, June 9th.
The last 5+ years have been an amazing journey, full of excitement, energy, challenge and innovation.
I'm thankful for all the friendships I have made, and the support and trust you have given me. I am truly blessed and can not be more thankful for that!
But it's time for a change, and it's time for BAC to have someone new at the helm.
It's my hope that the Board of Directors will be successful in finding a new executive director, and together, they will work efficiently to lead BAC to the desired future.
I'd like to relay my sincere thank you and appreciation to founder Dr. Salman Azhar for trusting me with leading the organization, and all other board members, WIM Beatriz Marinello, Surekha Nidamarty, and Prasad Dasari for their support throughout the years.
I'm happy to announce that I'll be continuing my work at Mechanics' Institute Chess Club. I'm looking forward strengthening their historical reputation, and not only help them live up to their name as the oldest chess club in the United States, but also to be a part of the team that brings innovation and exciting new features to their events and offerings.
Many thanks again for all the support and kindness you all have shown me over the years.
