Spring 2026 Tournament Team Course (Players 6-15, rated USCF 600-1300 ONLY)
The BAC Team Class consists of eight 2-hour sessions over the course of the Spring Term, on select Saturdays at noon in Palo Alto. Class dates are hosted 2/21 - 5/9 (linked below for specific dates)
Lessons cater heavily toward tournament play and rating growth.
The class is not for beginners and accepts only active players (minimum 600 rating enforced without a coach referral). Accepted BAC Team-Class members also join any one of the next four CalChess State Events (K-12, K-5, K-3/K-8, or Girls/Boys) for FREE.

BAC Lunchtime Chess
Our Lunchtime Chess offer is growing in popularity in the Bay Area! Our instructors come on campus and host an open-play session during the children's
lunch hour (all grades) for voluntary free-play and casual instruction. It's a fantastic equal-opportunity way for students to be exposed to Chess with casual gaming for both NEW and proficient players alike.
If your school lacks a program, or if you would like to suggest a lunchtime chess course at any school, please connect us with your office-admins and a recommendation.. we'd love to try and make it happen!
