Dear Players, and Parents,
Please join us at the 1st Annual Northern California Middle and High School Team Chess Championship, co-organized by Bay Area Chess and Fallon Middle School (Dublin, CA)
To be held on Sunday, April 23rd, the tournament is a 1-day, 5 round team Swiss similar in format to the U.S. Amateur Team West tournament, i.e. 4 players to a team.

There will be a wide range of levels, so we encourage unrated players and schools that do not regularly compete in rated tournaments to come out and represent their school or town!
Note - teams can consist of players from the same city or school district, not necessarily from the same school. We will also help you find a team if you don't know anyone else!
Bay Area Chess is awarding chess clocks as prizes, rather than trophies. It will be a USCF Quick-rated Swiss tournament held at Bay Area Chess's offices in Milpitas.

Schedule
Onsite Registration: Sunday 8:45-9:15am
Time Control: G/25;d5 (Game in 25 minutes with 5 sec delay) 5 rounds of Swiss type of tournament games.
Rounds: 10am, 11:30am, 1pm, 2:30pm, 4pm
Trophy Ceremony around 5:30pm

Commemorative CLOCKs for Top 3 teams in each section.
Commemorative Trophy to each team.
Commemorative CLOCKS to best performance on each board.
Special prize to Best Team Names.
