This event is a part of the series of events at the BAC Clubs in the weeks leading up to the Super-States Championship on April 7-8th.

This event will feature Grandmaster Zviad Izoria (USCF: 2715) performing a casual Simul at our Los Gatos Club. For those of you unfamiliar with a Simul: A simultaneous exhibition is a board game exhibition (commonly chess or Go) in which one player (typically of high rank) plays multiple games at a time with a number of other players. Such an exhibition is often referred to simply as a "simul".
Our Simul-master is a native of the Republic of Georgia and is the winner of multiple European and World Youth Championships. Zviad attained the Grandmaster title at age 18 and is thrilled to be in the Bay Area to pass on his knowledge and experience to a new generation of champions at BAC!
The Simul will feature a rotating schedule, so that roughly 12 kids may be participating at any given time and are replaced by new challengers as the games end. Students of all skill levels are welcome to participate! We highly suggest that notation is used for both a keepsake and for analysis. When not playing in the Simul, the players will benefit from the ongoing regular Los Gatos club with exciting instruction, lessons and games. Pending attendance and the speed
of the games, players may get to play against GM Izoria multiple times.

We hope to see many new kids participate in this fun event and get a chance to not only play a world-class player, but also to experience what our variety of clubs have to offer. There is no registration necessary, as all BAC clubs use our standard drop-in scheduling. Club fees are also not altered for our events (cash/check).
